What is GoNoodle?
GoNoodle is a website that provides several different interactive videos for any type of content you would like to show your class. They have five different categories of videos that include curricular, SEL and mindfulness, sensory and motor skills, school life, and movement type. Within these categories there are subcategories. For example in the curricular category the subcategories are math, science, ELA, social studies, and etc. Because of all the different types of videos that it provides I think it makes it very versatile. It is also incredibly easy to use. All you have to do is to make an account, and then you have access to all of the videos.
I definitely can see myself using this technology in my classroom. Not only can I use it to get my students up and moving around for a brain break, but some of the videos are educational and I think they can learn from the videos being shown.
How it relates to TLC and SAMR/PICRAT
I believe that GoNoodle relates to the interactive and replacement aspects of the PICRAT model. GoNoodle allows students to get up and dance while watching an educational video. It relates to the replacement aspect because it replaces me teaching the content that I would be teaching otherwise. I also believe that it relates to the learning aspect of the TLC framework. It is a quick activity that students have the opportunity to learn from. There are videos about math lessons, water cycle, and many other subjects that will teach students new content.
