Canva

This blog entry is about a tool of my own interest called Canva. I first started using Canva last year to create a poster for one of my classes, and recently I have been exploring more of the functions that I can use it for.  What is Canva? Canva is a graphic design tool that can be used to create anything you can think of. Some of the designs that I have created include, a timeline, a mind map, a rules poster, comics, and venn diagrams. There are several more creative ways you can use it. Canva provides you with several different templates so that you create whatever you want. For example, if you wanted to create a brochure, all you would have to do is type in brochure, and several different designs would be available for you to choose from. Just within the few designs and templates I have explored I can see how versatile this tool can be. It is also very easy to use. All you have to do is sign up for an account, and then you will have access to all of the free designs. Or if you ...

Interactive Board

Image
This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PowerPoint about previous T3PP results. Specifically Interactive Board in the hardware list. What is an Interactive Board? An interactive board is a technology that you can find in some classrooms. It is an interactive display in the form of a whiteboard. It is used as a touch board to present information, and allow students to take part in the lessons being taught.  An interactive board is very versatile. It can be used in so many different ways. It can be used to present new content, and to assess students. There are so many features that I haven't explored, but I am excited to learn more about. Another part that makes an interactive board so versatile is that it can be connected to any mobile device, such as laptops, tablets, smartphones, and desktops. I wouldn't say that it is that easy to use. It definitely takes time to learn all of the features, and where everything is located. If you are struggling on getting started t...

It is also incredibly easy to use. All you have to do is to make an account, and then you have access to all of the videos.  I definitely can see myself using this technology in my classroom. Not only can I use it to get my students up and moving around f...

Powerpoint

Image
This tool was found under Dr. Wang's T3PP technologies for resource power point presentation under Microsoft technologies. What is PowerPoint? PowerPoint is a tool used for presentations made by Microsoft. It is used for presenting any information that the presenter wants to present.    PowerPoint can be easy to use after you have learned the basics. There are several instructional videos you can find on YouTube that will help explain how to use it. In my opinion I do believe that Google Slides is easier, to use for me than Microsoft PowerPoint. It has costs money to use but once you pay for it you have all access to everything it provides. PowerPoint can be a little versatile, it just depends how you decide to use it. If you decide to use it just for presentations then it wouldn't be that versatile. But if you do a little research there are several different ways you can use Microsoft PowerPoint. You can make Jeopardy's for your class to play and learn. You can even make...
